All Stacey's training came together for Kat Cooper (YEA 8th grade #44) this weekend in Olympia and it was amazing! I was brought to tears as my daughter took all that she has learned over the last 5 years of basketball playing and four months of training and delivered an above mvp award performance. As most of you parents know it is frustrating to see your child do so well in training but not seem to put it all together in games. I pray that you will all experience what I did this past weekend. Kat went from being a pretty good force as a post player to the forward and guard position like she had always been there. She scored over 20+ points in each game, hitting her first three point jumpshot of her life. Her rebounds, assists and blocks were off the chart. It was almost like she was the only one on the court for her team. Every jumpshot dropped with beautiful arc. All that Stacey has been telling her will happen, happened. Congrats Kat, as you know, you brought your family to tears. Thanks Stacey for all your training and encouragement. It is paying off.

Great Job!!! Switching positions is always a difficult thing. Exspecially from post to guard. How does YEA look this year as a team? They had great athletes last year. Looking forward to seeing them this year.

Great work Kat! I know how hard you've been working. It's no accident that you performed so well. Your game is really starting to blossom that you're begining to focus on you true position. There's not too many girls that are playing around the post who could make the adjustment as well. The good thing is, you GOING to get BETTER. I'm very proud of what you've done and where you're going. Keep up the hard work... You're on your way! Coach Stacey
